Wimdy

from we've been the garages by the garages

"i lost a wheel in dallas, another in fort worth,
a partner down in austin, a real ""salt of the earth"",
but so's the will of higher planes, what it is i cannot say,
so i keep on rolling on this trail for yet another day

wimdy, wimdy, oh how the wimds do blow,
it’s sunny out, but it feels like it’s five degrees below,
wimdy, wimdy, better hold on to my hat,
got a feeling fate has something big in store to knock me flat

i had a straight flush on my hand, the best i'd ever seen,
a set of diamonds skipped and danced behind their rosy queen,
i lost that to a royal flush and thus i did go broke,
so i swapped my soul for a frayed one and then left the town a joke

wimdy, wimdy, oh how the wimds do blow,
it’s sunny out, but it feels like it’s five degrees below,
wimdy, wimdy, better hold on to my hat,
got a feeling fate has something big in store to knock me flat

a few days without water and i wished for just a drop,
that night it started raining, but it didn't seem to stop,
washed away like soap suds to this new uncanny place,
i guess it could be worse, it could've washed away my face

i’m on my way to houston, i’m riding night and day,
let’s hope i don’t get redacted along the way

wimdy, wimdy, oh how the wimds do blow,
it’s sunny out, but it feels like it’s five degrees below,
wimdy, wimdy, better hold on to my hat,
got a feeling fate has something big in store to knock me flat"
