the cellar door is open the house is filled with flies the garden’s all but wilted and still, the rain never dies I walk out to the main road the arterial is clogged the cars choke the roadways curse of a dying god and I stay in my home as the sea turns to blood as the snake swallows everything I await the flood I await the Black Hole, come to swallow us all it creeps in like a sickness coming in from the West Seattle went hours ago Oklahoma’s lookin next all eyes gaze towards the horizon the great black line in the sky the sun is pulled in further we all know we’re gonna die but we all seem to agree we’ll go on with our lives swallowed up when it’s time to go when the suns leave the skies as time slows up I find I’m comfortably numb and I stay in my home as the sea turns to blood as the snake swallows everything I await the flood I await the Black Hole, come to swallow us all
